Rick and Cleo's

Halloween Party

Our Halloween Costume Parties are a hit every year and a great way to celebrate the "Fall Harvest" with some wild and eccentric fun.  We normally send out invitations around the second week in October.  We always inform (actually warn) our would-be guests that these parties are strictly adult-only and not for the timid or reserved.  We offer a full bar, high music variety, food, beer, gallons of margaritas, and a wide assortment of amusing and sometimes shocking characters! As always the people truly make the party. We couldn’t do it without y’all!

We award gift certificates and other prizes to the "best" of the party.  We have a majority voting scheme that’s conducted through all our inebriated guests. Rick and I start the polling around that time of the night when everyone is beginning to forget they're wearing a costume in the first place.

Early in the evening, if we’re not too busy, we enjoy taking pictures of all the guests when they first arrive.  As the night wears on however, we usually forget what we've done with the camera.

Our good friends Margo and Michael came and won honorable mention as the "Pumpkin and her Protected Shlong".  The year before last they easily won first place as "Millie and Melvyn Whiner, The Amazingly Obnoxious Nerds". Cindy and her beau where quite creative as the Construction Guy and his remarkably Pretty Brick Wall.

Wayne and Lacy won first prize this time as the blackface Welfare Beggars. Not only were they the most hilarious, they were also thoroughly politically incorrect! Normally a very attractive couple, they were completely unrecognizable in that dreadful makeup, body padding and wigs.  A few times we almost forgot who they were!  Lacy stayed in character throughout the whole night. They truly deserved the top prize. Thanks guys!

Our next-door neighbor Susan showed-up charmingly dressed as our own black and white cat, Sylvester-Clydesdale (Clyde). Our other next-door neighbor, David, appeared as the Dirty ol’ Flasher (notice his "Sock").

Our friends Terry and Nicki came as Hugh Hefner and his Playmate of the Year. With them were Howard Stern and his alluring Yacht Captain. Also attending were The Social Butler and his Lovely Chamberlain. Nicki and Terry joined us in Las Vegas last year to party-down and celebrate Rick & mine's three-year meeting anniversary. We all had a great time!

Rick and Susan came as the comfortable Millionaire and his ultra-voluptuous Upstairs Maid. Rick and Susan are truly a marvelous couple! As with past parties Rick enjoyed bartending most of the night. He likes that refined socializing and keeping the partygoers happy by mixing drinks, handing out Tequila or specialty shots, and managing the debauchery around the bar area.

Brian and Danielle won third prize with their erotic portrayal of Dr. Harford (Tom Cruise) and the mysterious and bewitching masked woman from Eyes Wide Shut.

As luck would have it there were actually two Hugh Hefners at the party. Brian & Danielle's friends Shawn and Jackie, came as a younger Hefner with his drop-dead gorgeous Playmate of the Century.  Terry and Misty were The Phantom of the Opera with his enchanting Harem Concubine. It's always enlivening to meet and make new friends at any party!

A few of my former coworkers, AKA: "The Office Girls", also came to the party. We had Liz and Nicole, along with Jennifer and Shane. Liz came as "The Vamp" and Nicole as the "Darling Schoolgirl".  Shane & Jennifer won second prize as the Sexy She-Devil and her manly Bud-Light Girl. They're a great couple and true party-animals. Mike & Renee came as the Italian gangster with his beautiful Roaring Twenties Flapper Girl.
